Summary: Onix is seeking an experienced business and technology leader with a proven track record in developing solution offerings, managing pre-sales engagements, and directing the efforts of technical teams to deliver customer outcomes. The successful candidate should have a strong general cloud background and will be responsible for managing a team of architects who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and high performance cloud solution offerings  and developing customer proposals on GCP and AWS to support organizational cloud initiatives. The candidate will not only help us connect the dots and evolve our cloud capabilities over time, but also evolving their own capabilities as a cloud leader and keeping an eye on developments that can support our expansion and help us implement.

Scope/Level of Decision Making: This is an exempt position operating under limited decision-making and supervision. Position performs a variety of assigned activities, referring more complex issues to the manager.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Lead team or architects to develop and deliver solution offerings on Google Cloud.

• Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analysis, and developing final recommendations.

• Lead goal setting, tracking, and performance measurement of the business.

• Challenge the organization by working on plans to consistently improve the effectiveness of technical engagements.

• Partner with the marketing teams to develop and operationalize the go-to-market strategy, organization design, becoming an integral part of the leadership team as a trusted advisor of the organization.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to interpret their Cloud needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Have a  good understanding of Cloud governance and can develop and implement governance policies and procedures.

• Ensure quality and integrity by implementing testing and validation processes, both client facing as well as internal.

• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions 

• Lead the design and build of reusable, repeatable solutions and components for future use with additional clients.

• Direct a team of engineers to implement solution designs

• Stay abreast of current and emerging trends and technologies in the cloud field. Educate delivery teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.

• Partner with Delivery, and Support teams to find opportunities to reduce manual effort needed to complete deployments.

• Consult on Professional Services Engagements to help our customers design and implement systems that are robust and well suited to their targeted infrastructure.
