Fin Press Machine Operator (Aerospace & Defense) 2nd Shift Typically 3pm-11pm

TAT-Limco in Tulsa has an opening for a Fin Machine Press Operator. This position will operate the mechanical fin press machine to form aluminum and copper fin used in heat transfer coils. Machine operator will be responsible for the regular maintenance of machine and production of fins according to coil production schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Read and understand engineering drawings and instructions
• Read and understand bills of materials
• Figure material and load requirements
• Read, understand and follow material and load requirements on the fin schedule
• Log off each load ran on the fin schedule
• Set up fin machine
• Run fin requirements
• Disassemble and clean dies and machine
• Service and lubricate machine
• Check work and ensure quality
• Complete any task as assigned by supervisor as needed
• Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies and company procedures
• Follow manufacturing instructions
• Care for tools and equipment
• Advise maintenance of equipment that is not working properly
• Clean work area as required
• Contribute to team effort by working with others and accomplishing related functions as needed
• Additional duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Has 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Arrives for work on time

• Works the expected hours associated wit the second shift
• Charges time accurately in time and attendance system on computer to ensure accurate labor distribution and payroll
• Is a self starter and able to work by oneself without constant supervision
• Demonstrates self-motivation and complete job assignments on time

• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field preferred but willing to train and learn new skills
• Is mechanically inclined
• Is capable of learning how to operate equipment
• Has effective communication and comprehension skills
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Is proactive in his/her approach to work and readily prepared for upcoming units
• Cleans and services equipment as needed
• May be asked to assist Team Leader or colleagues with other work as work demand requires
• May be required to be licensed and/or certified in certain areas of specialty as work demand requires
• Demonstrates good, physical mobility
• Is able to stand or sit for up to eight hours, lift up to 50lbs, bend, push, pull, reach, and stoop
• Is able to pass pre-hire and ongoing, random drug testing as required as a Department of Transportation (DOT) facility regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
• Is able to pass pre-hire background check screening
