JOB SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for various HR functions, focusing on the onboarding of regular Full-Time employees, acting as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries within the Engineering Division, and ensuring smooth HR processes such as HR compliance, Employee relations, policies and procedures, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Recruitment/Onboarding:
- Onboard new employees through the company’s multiple HRIS as well as order and clear drug tests and background checks.
- Ensure proper compliance of all new hire’s documents such as I-9 documents and E-Verify.
- Work with applicants to complete the onboarding process and answer questions including benefit questions.
- Create and maintain record of all job description for new hires to include new and exciting job title positions.
Employee Relations:
- Respond to inquiries, questions, and requests from managers and employees on matters related to Benefits, Payroll, HR processes, recruiting, and other HR-related topics.
- Process complaints/concerns, ensuring timely and reasonable handling and escalating all concerns to HR Leadership.
- Ensure HR services are in line with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.
- Help to develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures, including maintaining the employee handbook.
Administrative:
- Coordinate with managers, employees, and other departments to manager and executive annual furlough process.
- Manage employee processes including following up with managers as well as creating and submitting change of status and termination forms to the appropriate departments.
- Complete all Unemployment Claims, Wage and Compensation Audits, Verification letters and Unemployment Claim notices for employees in the Engineering division.
- Provide additional support of payroll and benefits administration such as generating audit, reconciliation, or reports.
- Participate in bi-weekly leadership meetings and provide HR updates.
- Review rehire/returning employees, confirming benefits enrollment, updating relevant spreadsheets, and performing audit of personal files to ensure compliance.
- Update Employee’s profiles and personnel files with relevant licenses such as PE license.
OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Provide support in recruitment and onboarding to other CDR divisions during high volume and Emergency periods.
- Supports full cycle recruitment process and activities including gathering specifications for positions and new/updating of job descriptions, providing sources, and/or directly sourcing potential candidates, direction, and final decision-making process in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Travel as required and as it relates to above duties or as directed by supervisor.
- Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 3 year of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job.
- Applied Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines with respect to HR field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure during high volumes and work with different personalities.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, with personal effectiveness and credibility.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA/various confidentiality requirements with respect to employee information.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and planning skills.
- Proficiency with using Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook, etc. is required.
- Strong phone presence, comfortable speaking with all personalities and level of management and staff.
- HRIS/ATS such as Workforcenow/ADP, Workable, Deltek, Indeed experience preferred.
- Requires ability to travel within the area assigned and within US up to 25% of the time.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
