About the role

Description

UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, Notre Dame, IN. Appointment to begin Fall Semester 2026. Rank: Open (assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor) (tenured or tenure-track). AOS: Metaphysics. AOC: Open. Standard teaching load in the department is 2:1 (3 classes per academic year). Duties include teaching, research, and service. Salary competitive. Semester system. 

Qualifications

Candidates at the entry level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or have completed all but dissertation in Philosophy. Candidates at the advanced assistant, associate, or full professor level must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy.

Associate and full professor candidates are asked to submit a CV and brief cover letter; assistant professor candidates are asked to submit a full dossier, including CV, writing sample, research statement, teaching dossier, reference letters, and brief cover letter.
