The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department (also known as the Bike Shop) helps Raytheon programs successfully demonstrate solutions to their engineering problems. Our engineers and technicians provide quick-turn innovation, design, fabrication, assembly, test, and demonstration services. Our vertically integrated team designs, fabricates, and tests mechanical, electrical, and software solutions.  In a fast paced highly collaborative work environment our projects range from proof of concept to flight hardware demonstration.

What You Will Do

• Provide prototype machining in a developmental environment often with quick turnaround prototype solutions for a variety of programs throughout the enterprise.
• Work with customers to solve medium to complex machining and assembly problems.
• Work within a collaborative group across multiple disciplines addressing challenges together to provide best result solutions to our customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or technical drawings
• Experience with manual machining equipment
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in mechanical machine shop environment using CNC equipment
• Experience with CNC including programming, setup, and operation on both Mill and Lathe. (2) years programming 3 and 4 axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Knowledgeable in the setup/operation of manual CMM’s.
• Basic experience in the development and manipulation of computer-generated 3D models in Creo, or similar CAD system.
• CAM Software: Mastercam or equivalent
• Competent computer skills – Windows, MS Office products.
