We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team.WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead full cycle PCB design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug, and integration with the system.
• Oversee the development of air vehicle avionics systems (flight controls, sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking).
• Develop and review system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the vehicle.
• Provide expert support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.
• Conduct vendor surveys and evaluations to support sourcing for avionics system components.
• Lead peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
• Manage the build-up and testing of avionics system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
• Develop low-level firmware for bring-up and test.
• Perform root cause analysis in support of field operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 7+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
• Proven competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Deep familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, 12C, SPI, PCle, USB, etc.
• Extensive experience with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices, and technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
• Proficiency with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable).
• Expertise in design for signal integrity/ power integrity.
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Understanding of DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, and relevant avionics design standards for UAS.
• Familiarity with aircraft avionics module vendors and avionics component suppliers from past experience in UAS programs.
US Salary Range$160,000—$200,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
