Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced (Senior) Manager in this exciting new role leading a team focused on our strategic talent initiatives across multiple departments; talent intelligence, employer branding, inclusion recruiting programs, and candidate experience. By centralizing these efforts under one leader this person will have the unique opportunity to influence and drive our talent strategies for the studio informed by data driven insights.
Core Responsibilities
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced (Senior) Manager in this exciting new role leading a team focused on our strategic talent initiatives across multiple departments; talent intelligence, employer branding, inclusion recruiting programs, and candidate experience. By centralizing these efforts under one leader this person will have the unique opportunity to influence and drive our talent strategies for the studio informed by data driven insights.
Core Responsibilities
Talent Intelligence and Sourcing:
- Partner with the Talent Leadership Team to ensure alignment on inclusive pipelining efforts for immediate to mid term show staffing needs
- Identify and oversee mid to long term talent intelligence initiatives, including talent mapping, competitor analysis, and market trends both domestically and internationally
- Utilize data-driven insights to provide studio and show leadership with critical analysis to inform their decision-making
Inclusion Recruiting Programs
- In collaboration with the Inclusion team, establish initiatives for attracting and retaining underrepresented talent in all roles and at all levels of seniority
- Own the Talent Teams’ relationship with our Employee Resource Groups, determining how we can support them as well as seek engagement with our talent initiatives
- Oversee the creation and execution of inclusion recruiting programs that pipeline key talent and provide accessibility
Candidate Experience
- Review on an ongoing basis our candidate experience, identifying opportunities to elevate and enhance whether that be while interviewing (on-site/ virtually), in writing (emails/ candidate portals) or during the run-up to their start (portals/ links/ emails)
- Collect and analyze candidate feedback to inform what is working, how things can be improved and cascade findings to the appropriate internal stakeholders
Employer Branding
- Ownership of all Employer Branding initiatives for FAN; working towards the creation and sustainment of a dedicated careers site, social media presence and an employer branding playbook in partnership with cross-functional teams such as Brand and Communications
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of employer branding efforts, by collecting feedback from our events attendance, candidate experience and internal community, adjusting approach as needs are uncovered
Workflows Efficiency and Effectiveness
- Assess our current operational and workflow effectiveness for talent acquisition and propose and implement means for improvement
- Work closely with the team Associate to manage the identified projects forward with clear goals, deliverables and deadlines
Team Leadership and Development:
- Hire, build and manage a team of four (4) talent professionals at varying levels of seniority and across multiple disciplines. Uniting them in a shared goal and finding commonality in their work
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, empowering team members to seek excellence in their role and expect it of their leaders and each other
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the team's skills and capabilities through training and development opportunities
Key Qualifications, Skills and Person Specification
- 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Intelligence, Executive Search, or Business Strategy within the Animation industry across multiple diverse talent pools
- 3+ years leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Champion for our inclusion value as a studio and recognition of how to apply and ingrain that focus into the work of this team
- Strong analytical skills coupled with broad business perspective. The ability to learn quickly and convey credibility across a wide spectrum of business topics
- Understanding of the broader media business and ability to anticipate upcoming industry shifts and how that informs the artistic hiring and retention strategies
- Proven experience in leveraging data and analytics to influence and drive recruitment strategies
- High degree of curiosity and proactivity. A lifelong learner that is energized by diving into a new challenge and building something fresh or from scratch to address the needs of the studio
