Production Engineer will work to increase plant operational efficiency by providing and maintaining robust
processes, improve existing and implement new manufacturing methods, and urgently resolve event driven
issues in a fast-paced high volume machining environment. Work includes technical support for completion
of plant production requirements and organizational objectives.
AS A PRODUCTION ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
• Process ownership of metal cutting CNC equipment, work holding, tooling and programming
• Create and maintain scroll machining process documentation
• Front line technical support
• Develop / implement process improvements & cost reductions
• Comprehend & modify CNC/PLC/Robotic programs
• Lead and participate in cost reduction teams and capital planning
• Provide focus on safety, quality, downtime, manning & throughput
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• Four-year technical degree plus one year experience (co-op/intern exp. may be considered)
or equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e Associate's degree plus
equivalent experience in a technical role related to manufacturing)
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Good organizational, presentation and project management skills to interact within all levels
of the company
• Practical computing skills including Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this
role
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• Experienced with 3D CAD (such as Siemens NX, AutoCad or Solidworks), SPC and GD&T
Four-year Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree plus
two or more years' relevant experience
• Technical support experience in high volume, fast-paced environment
• Previous experience with CNC machining methods, controls, and processes
• Advanced PLC programming
