Senior Associate - Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per quarter 

New York Life is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, and cloud/automation skills to ensure scalable, secure, and innovative solutions across Asset Management (SAM & HAM), ITSM, ITOM, and Vulnerability Response, while integrating modern technologies such as AWS, Terraform, and Generative AI.

What You’ll Do:

• Solution Design & Development
• Design and development ServiceNow solutions across Asset Management (SAM Pro & HAM Pro), ITSM, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, and Vulnerability Response.
• Develop workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and system integrations.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with enterprise architecture standards.
• Platform & Module Expertise
• Participate in ServiceNow platform upgrades, including impact analysis, regression testing, remediation, and post-upgrade validation.
• Follow platform governance standards across customizations, integrations, and configurations to maintain stability and compliance.
• Optimize platform and application performance through code tuning, query optimization, and technical debt remediation.
• Integration, Cloud & Automation
• Design and deploy integration with third-party systems (e.g., CMDB, monitoring tools, security scanners, HR platforms).
• Leverage AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform to support scalable ServiceNow integrations and deployments.
• Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
• Quality Assurance & Support
• Enforce code quality through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing Level 3 support as needed.
• Maintain documentation for developed solutions and system configurations.
• Leadership & Collaboration
• Act as a technical lead and mentor for ServiceNow developers.
• Partner with stakeholders, business analysts, and architects to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Promote and enforce ServiceNow best practices, standards, and governance.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience & Expertise
• 7+ years of ServiceNow development experience with at least 3+ years in a lead developer role.
• Strong expertise in SAM Pro, ITSM, ITOM, and Vulnerability Response modules.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.
• Technical Skills
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and MID Servers.
• Experience with CMDB design, health, and governance.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Generative AI capabilities (Now Assist, Moveworks).
• Cloud & Infrastructure expertise: AWS services and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Certifications (Preferred)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM, SAM Pro, VR).
• Exposure to ServiceNow Generative AI certifications/capabilities is highly desirable.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $124,000-$177,000
