Who You'll Work With

The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About The Role

As a key member of the Enterprise Technology leadership team, the Head of Corporate Systems (CS) Technology will be responsible for developing and executing technology strategies, and end-to-end IT delivery (Design, Build, Transform, Run) for the following corporate functions consisting of 70+ key application platforms:

• Facilities & Real Estate

• Internal Audit

• SOX controls & testing

• Operational Risk

• Credit / Market Risk

• Legal

• Compliance (Regulatory, Corporate, Investments, Insurance)

The candidate will lead the CS technology organization, while partnering across 5+ ELT members, external service providers, and 50+ senior IT, Ops and business leaders across Corebridge to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the technology infrastructure and systems,

Responsibilities                              

Lead a focused team of Corebridge employees and IT vendor resources and relationships to drive the following:

Application Lifecycle Management

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned applications, including deployment, maintenance, and retirement for 70+ applications across the Corporate Systems ecosystem.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system architecture, QA, DevOps, Security) to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.

• Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to enhance scalability, security, and user experience.

• Lead an offshore third-party support team for about 70+ applications in the portfolio.

2. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams to translate business needs into functional requirements.

• Manage expectations of internal stakeholders and external partners (vendors, clients).

• Proactively highlight and resolve risks and issues and clearly communicate those risks to stakeholders.

• Manage Vendor Relationships & Contract oversight and leverage their strategic capabilities.

3. Governance & Compliance

• Ensure applications comply with organizational policies, industry standards (e.g., NYDS, GDPR, ISO), and cybersecurity protocols.

• Conduct / coordinate risk assessments and implement timely mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities.

4. Technology Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage technology budgets across direct and indirect expenses, also inclusive of oversight of key vendor software and hardware relationships and partnerships.

• Prioritize resource allocation for upgrades, patches, and new features.

• Ensure Operational excellence is upheld, including all security, regulatory and compliance aspects; production systems uptime and reliability; and availability of data that are critical to the functioning of the corporate systems eco-system.

5. Technology Innovation, Development and Improvement.

• Drive innovation in technology solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and enables new processing capabilities
