What You Will Do

  • Systematically translate, analyze, and prioritize customer needs, legal and contractual requirements, and company policy and objectives into quality performance standards and operational definitions
  • Integrate performance and conformance verifications such as process reviews and audits throughout value stream processes to prevent quality escapes
  • Perform analysis of nonconformities to develop effective containment/elimination plans
  • Lead and mentor the QA team and provide project status to Program Quality Leadership teams
  • Baseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement
  • Engage cross functional teams to ensure alignment on top priorities to drive containment, Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation for any quality issues
  • Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation
  • Help drive standardized data entry to improve data analysis cycle time
  • Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and robust corrective actions
  • Implement QASL and supplier management process to ensure supplier risk assessment and mitigation
  • Perform verification and validation of QMS improvements to understand effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to be leverage across similar process/assemblies as well as other programs
  • Obtain AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 internal auditor certification and implement robust internal and supplier audit program

What You Will Learn

  • You'll deepen your understanding of quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, legal obligations, and company policies.
  • Through performance verifications such as process reviews and audits, you'll develop the skills to prevent quality escapes and ensure adherence to standards.
  • You'll gain experience in leading and mentoring a quality assurance team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience interpreting drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control
  • Experience with key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques
  • CORE, Six Sigma, ASQ Certifications
  • Proficient in the use of pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping
  • Experienced in Product/Process Failure Modes & Affects Analysis, Regression Analysis
  • Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis and Design of Experiments
  • Able to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing)
