Job Description
Brightspeed is looking for a Construction Project Administrator (CPA) to join our team! As a Construction Project Administrator you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of repair projects encompassing the construction and restoration of outside plant OSP facilities, playing a key role in our company's growth and success.
As A Construction Project Administrator Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Strategically planning, scheduling, and managing high-value repair projects, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion
- Allocating select field technician resources effectively to optimize project workflows and enhance operational performance
- Collaborating closely with field supervisors and management to streamline project workflows and enhance operational performance
- Overseeing contractors, trade workers, and internal repair teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Conducting thorough real-time and post-construction inspections to uphold the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship
- Proactively assess damage situations, engaging contract vendors, and diligently monitoring repair activities to expedite restoration efforts
- Serving as the primary point of contact for plant damage and emergency dispatches, providing decisive leadership during critical situations
- Utilizing advanced analytical tools and methodologies to drive data-driven insights and enhance financial performance on a macro level
- Acting as a liaison with 3rd party vendors, providing guidance, approval, and feedback to ensure alignment with company objectives
- Leading large-scale restoration efforts, orchestrating seamless coordination among internal partner organizations and external stakeholders
- Conducting regular performance reviews with 3rd party vendors, fostering a collaborative environment and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing monthly financial results, related to 3rd party vendor spend within your region, offering valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
What It Takes To Catch Our Eye:
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on Installation & Repair (I&R), Inside Plant (ISP), or Outside Plant (OSP) construction
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in conducting deep-dive operational and financial analyses using advanced tools such as MS Excel, MS Power BI, etc
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while driving results with 3rd party vendors
- Willingness to travel within and outside of market, performing audits as needed (up to 30%-40%)
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, including underground, buried, and aerial facilities comprising copper and fiber media
- Previous experience in project supervision, blueprint interpretation, and familiarity with billing codes and regulations
