Process Analyst

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Process Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program, for the US Coast Guard (CG). This initiative is modernizing and consolidating the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CGs customers This position is 100% remote.  

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Performs work on all aspects of the system analysis process from end to end of the software development life cycle
• Elicit requirements from subject matter experts using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios and workflow analysis
• Defines, documents and translates business requirements into detailed functional specifications taking into account non-functional requirements
• Work closely with business SMEs and collaborate with the development team, enterprise architect and the project manager in all aspects of system design and development to develop functional solutions that meet business needs and are aligned with the architectural roadmap as established by the architecture team
• Supports development team by translating requirements and use cases into a specifications, sample screen design, flowcharts, logical data models and security design models
• Responsible for maintaining all assigned business systems documentation
• Triage, log, and track requests for customer requests for new features, enhancements to be implemented in the systems
• Analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Software Requirements Specification and functional and non-functional requirements including but not limited to usability, performance, supportability, security, interface requirements and assumptions/constraints; Business Process Models, Data Flow Diagrams, System Process Models, and Traceability Matrix
• Verify and track satisfaction of requirements in delivered solution through acceptance testing
• Serves as a consultant to project management, senior management and customers

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years relevant experience, master’s degree with 3 years relevant experience or high school diploma/GED with 9 years relevant experience
• US Citizenship required; must have a minimum of an active Secret clearance (or higher)
• Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Previous experience and exposure to Web Services using JSON REST, testing using Junit
• Experience with managing and creating Change Requests
• Experience with initiating Incident Management tickets
• Demonstrated experience working with and within an Enterprise Service Management Platform
• Demonstrated experience with Remedy ARS and/or BMC Helix

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
