This award-winning programme offers excellent career opportunities for people who have a proven track recording in combining excellent technical ability with first class interpersonal and communication skills</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>In general, the Group Lead is expected to spend 50% of their time on leadership duties, and 50% of their time on laboratory based activities. </p><p>The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</p><ul><li>Effectively coordinating and leading a team so that productivity, quality, documentation, work schedules, safety and housekeeping are run at maximum efficiency.</li><li>Ensuring 100% ethical work standards and GMP compliance.</li><li>Development, coaching, motivation, and morale of team members through effective teambuilding and use of reward and recognitions systems celebrating team success.</li><li>Ensuring that work is scheduled and cross training takes place so that the service levels agreed with the client are achieved.  </li><li>Ensuring that all team members are trained and have completed training records for all training completed.</li><li>To perform routine and non-routine technical duties, and various support activities as required by the client.</li><li>Involvement in forecasting and scheduling of activities within QC sample management.</li><li>Act as SME for sample management taking personal ownership of/ being the key point of contact for QC for sample management.</li><li>Key point of contact for the client in relation to sample management deliverables.</li><li>Lead quality and EHS investigations where necessary.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>A degree or diploma in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related subject.</li><li>A Masters or PhD qualification in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology would be an advantage.</li><li>At least 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratory</li><li>Experience in a leadership capacity is desirable.</li><li>Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills</li><li>Passionate about quality and client service.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company which provides a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries.
