The Encapsulation Set-Up role is responsible for all assembly/disassembly, maintenance, and operation of various encapsulation machines. They are responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Disassembles, cleans and assembles various encapsulation machines.
· Maintains the working condition of various encapsulation machines.
· Starts-up a production run following the completion of the set-up process.
· Diagnoses issues that arise during a set-up.
· Keeps logbooks accurate with current information.
· Enters start-up and in-process information into the batch record.
· Operates the encapsulation machines based on the business demand.
· Handles material handling equipment like Palette Jacks and Manual Lifts.
· Responsible for adhering to SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements and procedures.
· Covers for Operators during breaks and/or absences.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
· Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within a manufacturing environment .
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish).
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 2 years of prior mechanical or manufacturing machine operator experience.
· Previous manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
SKILLS:
· Basic mathematical skills.
· Basic technical skills.
· Basic ability to read, write and speak English is required to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures.
· Basic written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $21.96-$26.83*. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
