Job Description

• Plan and operate the Division ll intercollegiate volleyball program at Winona State University within the guidelines, policies, rules and regulations of the University, NCAA and NSIC.
• Manage the program’s recruitment efforts including attendance at high school/club events, evaluation of prospective student-athletes, and generation of applications to the University.
• Identify and facilitate academic support for the success of all student-athletes.
• Retain and graduate successful student-athletes for the volleyball program.
• Successfully manage all aspects of volleyball program budget.
• Promote and support Winona State University and the Athletic Department’s program mission and goals.
• Represent Winona State University and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
• Foster interest in Winona State University with all high school students and school personnel while recruiting for WSU and the volleyball program.
• Instruct university courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
• Engage in research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
• Provide evidence of continuing professional development to enhance coaching abilities.
• Contribute to student growth and development.
• Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
• Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
• Other duties as assigned in the Athletic Department as needed.
   

Salary Range:

$64,066 - $186,015; Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience
 

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus a minimum of four (4) years coaching experience OR a bachelor's plus a minimum of eight (8) years of coaching experience
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
   

Preferred Qualification 

• Head coaching experience.
• Collegiate level coaching experience at a four-year institution.
• Knowledge of NCAA and NSIC rules and regulations.
