- Plan and operate the Division ll intercollegiate volleyball program at Winona State University within the guidelines, policies, rules and regulations of the University, NCAA and NSIC.
- Manage the program’s recruitment efforts including attendance at high school/club events, evaluation of prospective student-athletes, and generation of applications to the University.
- Identify and facilitate academic support for the success of all student-athletes.
- Retain and graduate successful student-athletes for the volleyball program.
- Successfully manage all aspects of volleyball program budget.
- Promote and support Winona State University and the Athletic Department’s program mission and goals.
- Represent Winona State University and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
- Foster interest in Winona State University with all high school students and school personnel while recruiting for WSU and the volleyball program.
- Instruct university courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
- Provide evidence of continuing professional development to enhance coaching abilities.
- Contribute to student growth and development.
- Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
- Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
- Other duties as assigned in the Athletic Department as needed.
Salary Range:
$64,066 - $186,015; Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree plus a minimum of four (4) years coaching experience OR a bachelor's plus a minimum of eight (8) years of coaching experience
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualification
- Head coaching experience.
- Collegiate level coaching experience at a four-year institution.
- Knowledge of NCAA and NSIC rules and regulations.
