Completes regular analysis of revenue cycle systems; documents issues and concerns and performs the review and documents recommended revisions for the current revenue cycle systems. Supports creating and building the team that is focused on delivering results and by seeking and responding to regular performance feedback. Performs system and file maintenance on all revenue cycle systems as well as develop any custom applications such as scripts or specific programming.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of data warehousing and rational database systems.
- Knowledge of analysis and reporting methodologies
- Knowledge of programming language, such as Visual Basic, Python, SQL etc. required
- Knowledge of system interfaces that will include Passport Eligibility, eCashiering, Paperless Registration, Hyland On Base Scanning, Search America and other applications
- Knowledge of reimbursement systems (DRGs, capitation, managed care, etc), the Medicare Peer Review Organization, TJC accreditation standards, state licensing requirements, and state and federal laws, standards, rules, regulations and requirements governing the confidentiality of patient information
- In depth knowledge of Revenue Cycle information system applications, preferably EPIC, Eclypsis and Sunrise/MS4
- Ability to execute data and systems manipulation to produce meaningful analysis and write reports for the Revenue Cycle function
- Ability to write system programming language code (not source code) to manipulate data and populate other systems
- Ability to utilize detailed/complex information technology to maximize the efficiency and quality of revenue cycle activities; analyze and interpret complex data and draw logical conclusions to develop and address revenue cycle operational processes
- Skills using spreadsheet, word processing, statistical, project management, and presentation software applications, preferably Microsoft Suite; ability to learn new applications/software systems effectively and efficiently
- Ability to communicate ideas both verbally and written to influence others using one-on-one contact, formal presentations, and group discussions
- Must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to change
- Aptitude to conceptualize, plan, and implement stated goals and objectives
- Ability to establish, develop and manage customer relationships and evaluate and interpret end user/customer needs
- Effective internal consulting skills along with the ability to positively influence others in a desired direction to achieve identified outcomes without direct lines of authority

Pay Range is $42.08 to $63.13 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
