JOB TITLE:
Marketing Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE:
Coordinate and assist in the marketing and promotion of student engagement opportunities hosted or sponsored by unit, including but not limited to social media and email campaigns, print collateral, and in-person experiences. This position will perform work independently, under limited supervision, and supervise a team consisting of professional staff and students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute marketing / promotional / event activities that meet overall objectives. Coordinate content for multiple offices to provide a 12-month marketing calendar and act to ensure activities are implemented in a timely and effective manner. Establish and maintain consistent branding efforts and advise area directors/deans in those efforts.
- Direct the production/design of graphics and video for promotional materials and events to maintain a consistency in theme/focus. Oversee a marketing request process and workflow system. Consult with stakeholders as needed.
- Direct and maintain all online social media engagement to be consistent with established or new communication strategies.
- Hire, train, and provide direct supervision to one or two full-time staff and a team of student marketing coordinators/interns.
- Assist in planning and implementing comprehensive public relations campaigns through news and publications media designed to promote activities of unit.
- Serve as editor for publications and proposals including highly technical materials and graphic designs.
- Interview individuals and attend meetings to obtain information items for publication.
- Coordinate and direct electronic media or publications efforts focusing on science, technology and informative news items.
- Plan, design, test, edit, maintain, and document look and flow of websites. Utilize web-based software tools for managing web content.
- Supervise, plan and coordinate special events and/or publications/news media projects as assigned.
- Coordinate photography to support written materials.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- May plan and organize the distribution of publications.
- May assist and guide visiting media representatives and production crews as assigned.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 2 years work-related experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of supervision experience
- 1 year of experience with social media management and corresponding platforms (Hootsuite, PromoRepublic, etc.).
