Requisition ID req36175 Working Title Coord,Research Position Grade 10 Position Summary The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking to hire a motivated professional to serve as a Research Coordinator to support and coordinate enrollment for clinical research studies.This individual will be responsible for working with a diverse team of clinical investigators and research staff to coordinate research studies. Primary duties include research study subject enrollment including data and research specimen collection. Coordinates, plans and executes study promotional activities to keep clinical staff informed about active research studies. Additional responsibilities include site investigative file maintenance, reporting of protocol of safety information to the institutional review board (IRB) as needed and regular communication with the research team and clinical trial sponsors and their representatives.
This position requires applicants to work in a hospital clinic environment, UNM Hospital partners and affiliated clinics. Applicants must be able to collect and prepare data and research specimens in accordance with protocols, maintain regulatory binders, and supervise the process of data entry and quality assurance. This position may require scheduling evening and weekend work hours in order to meet enrollment demands.

Conditions of Employment- Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
