As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing Seed’s data capabilities. You will partner closely with leaders across Product, Science, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to transform data into actionable insights that drive business growth and scientific discovery. You will manage and mentor a growing analytics team, build scalable frameworks, and help foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will design, build, and maintain our data models and pipelines, enabling self-service analytics and empowering teams across Seed to make data-informed decisions with confidence. You’re fluent in SQL and dbt, opinionated about data modeling, and deeply curious about how data informs the customer journey, product performance, and scientific discovery. 

• 5-7+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in SQL and dbt data modeling best practices (e.g., star schemas, dimensional modeling).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact analytics and dbt pipelines in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Strong technical foundation in modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow) and analytics best practices.
• Skilled in experimentation, statistical analysis, and translating data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communicator who can distill complex data concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in e-commerce, healthtech, or consumer health (bonus); passion for advancing science and human health through data.
• Hands-on operator with the ability to both execute and guide others.

What You’ll Do

Develop and Scale Analytics Capabilities

• Contribute to the evolution of Seed’s analytics roadmap in alignment with company priorities.
• Work cross functionally with a small but growing team of analysts and analytics engineers.
• Establish frameworks, standards, and best practices for reporting, modeling, and experimentation.

Enable Data-Driven Decision-Making

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to design analyses, reports, and dashboards that inform strategy and execution.
• Build scalable pipelines and data models that support self-service analytics across teams.
• Guide stakeholders in designing and interpreting experiments to optimize growth and product outcomes.

Ensure Data Quality and Governance

• Define and maintain processes for data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to influence data architecture and performance.
