About the role
Remote is launching and building out our US PEO (Professional Employer Organization) services from the ground up, and we're looking for a dedicated International Operations Senior Specialist to be a foundational part of this exciting journey. In this role, you'll primarily focus on the intricate landscape of US compliance and entity management for both our PEO and EOR (Employer of Record) offerings across all US!
You'll work closely with an International Operations Manager to navigate the complexities of US state-specific regulations, ensuring seamless and compliant operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our US offerings from day one, translating complex regulatory frameworks into scalable, streamlined processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and are passionate about making global employment simple and compliant, this role is for you.
Our mission is to make it simple for businesses to manage their people and operations across borders. As part of that mission, this role plays a key part in enabling US-based companies to grow compliantly with confidence. You’ll join a purpose-driven team with a global mindset, where autonomy, impact, and growth go hand-in-hand.
Key Responsibilities
As an International Operations Senior Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring our US PEO and EOR operations are fully compliant. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all ongoing regulatory and compliance operations across all U.S. states, including filling licenses, business registrations, corporate filings, and reporting obligations. Partner with local legal advisors and external providers to implement legal documents and ensure regulatory readiness.
- Ensure strict alignment with state-specific labor and employment regulations, coordinating updates with legal, payroll, and operational teams. Work closely with Legal, Tax, Payroll, Benefits, and Operations teams to ensure compliance across all US jurisdictions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of legal entities, supporting governance tasks, renewals, and administrative maintenance in partnership with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Manage the receipt and processing of physical mail, and handle the execution of powers of attorney for various documentation. Maintain centralized, meticulously organized records of all compliance activities, filings, and regulatory correspondence.
- Ensure all necessary filings, registrations, and license renewals are completed accurately and on time. Create internal documentation, checklists, and guides to support consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Lead projects related to regulatory setup and operational expansion specifically across U.S. states. Manage competing priorities across projects with autonomy, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and risk mitigation.
