Pratt and Whitney has an exciting opportunity within our Military Engines (ME) F135 Program Financial Support (PFS) Organization for a Senior FP&A Manager supporting the F135 Development Program.

This is an onsite position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.

What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for all internal and external Development Program financial planning and analysis associated with F135 development contracts, amongst other things.

Specific job responsibilities include:

- Be a Change Agent and a Business Advisor regarding financial performance of the F135 Development portfolio – do not just count the numbers but help drive performance by proactively supporting the Program and leveraging organizational resources to drive favorable results

- Manage the month-end financial close process for our CIP, Block4, and ECU Programs and ensure Sales, Margin, and Cash projections are properly accounted for and variance explanations accurately represent status for the month, quarter, and fiscal year.

- Manage the Long-Range Planning process so best estimates properly represent Program Management expectations of financial performance and ensure underlying assumptions are properly vetted and substantiated.

- Manage the monthly E&D and Capital process and ensure spend is within budget and variance explanations properly represent performance; pro-actively engage the organization and disposition inquiries/ challenges to ensure spend remains in control.

- Over-see Sub-contractor invoicing by working with our Finance support to ensure Receipts and Disbursements are predictable; engage our subcontractors and other members of the organization to drive process improvement, as necessary.

- Shine the light on opportunities and mitigate risk thru diligent analysis and collaborative interaction with the Program Team.

- Timely follow-up and disposition of various USG, FP&A, and external PW ad-hoc requests.

- Promote a learning environment by leveraging CORE Tools & initiatives, technology, etc. in support of F135 Program Management Office (PMO) deliverables.

Qualifications You Must Have:


- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance; OR an Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance and 7+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.


- Must be a U.S. Citizen - this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer:

- SAP, Business Warehouse, Dassian, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), OneSteam, ODM, Microsoft Office Products.

- Experience with financial analysis and work within a financial organization.

- Independent, motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and influence in a matrix organization.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvement.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
