POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager, the PSR II Women’s Health Lead is responsible for guiding the daily activities of the Women’s Health front office. This position ensures efficient and effective workflow of patients during scheduled clinic hours through joint planning and problem solving with clinic staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Multi-tasks in an organized manner; completes assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and timely.
- Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving, using sound Assumes additional responsibilities as needed, with minimal direction; shows initiative in assisting others.
- Promotes positive customer relations and service to both internal and external customers by providing excellent customer service to all patients in a non-discriminatory confidential, professional, friendly manner that builds dignity for each individual person. - Checks for errors in patient charts, verifies demographics and financial information, and verifies continued eligibility with patients upon checking in. Updates patient charts and computer files.

- Accurately calculates individual patient charges for services, collects payment, and explains
- Accurately and efficiently records receipt of fees in practice management

- Maintains oversight of timely processing of Clinic Visit Record (CVR) data requirements for the Reproductive Health Access Fund.
- Coordinates schedules and demographic data with Maternal Fetal Medicine; maintains a seamless workflow.
- Reviews schedules to ensure patients who need interpretation have been scheduled with interpreters.
- Attends in-services and other required meetings, including Healthy and Safety Team; relates information from meetings to team members.
- Maintains strict confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA policy and

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Knowledge of collection procedures and laws.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures; two (2) years clerical experience in a clinical or health care setting preferred. Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience with serving diverse groups of patients, including special needs
- Experience with interacting tactfully and with kindness with all patients, employees, and
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with the public and
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to perform the following physical requirements:
- In-person work during normal clinic hours.
- Remain in a stationary position frequently during the day while performing administrative duties.
- Move or traverse occasionally during the day throughout clinic to perform administrative duties.
- Operate equipment frequently during the day using a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and accurately so others will understand; ability to interact with patients and staff clearly.
- Able to move or transport up to 15 pounds while using equipment or performing administrative functions.
- Typically work indoors in a heat-controlled
- OSHA Exposure Category – Category #2: The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
