Sr. Product Owner (Insurance)

Storable is looking for a Sr. Product Owner (insurance) to define, validate, and deliver software improvements to delight clients and solve problems. You will work with colleagues across product, marketing, design, analytics, and engineering to identify opportunities to build innovative features, grow revenues, and make regular improvements in reliability and accuracy. Your success will be measured in progress toward the achievement of your team’s business objective, which is centered on building a better experience for storage operators.  This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Product Owner who is looking to move into Product Management in the near future.

What you’ll do: 

• Conduct user testing on potential features to validate the value of a proposed change 
• Write actionable user stories that have clear acceptance criteria and are broken down into the smallest valuable increments
• Collaborate with the UX Designers to create screen mockups and prototypes
• Prioritize the product backlog to best achieve key product outcomes
• Ensure that the work produced by the development team meets the acceptance criteria
• Sequence the product roadmap in collaboration with Insurance Leadership to make measurable progress against company objectives
• Preview proposed changes and review working software with the team as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure a product change is understood, communicated, and properly supported
• Research and respond to questions from designers, engineers, and QA
• Provide regular updates on projected milestones, progress, and results

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

• Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from many sources and assemble those inputs into a plan to deliver the most customer value
• Experience working in a nimble product delivery organization where product, design, and engineering work in close collaboration
• Familiarity working with Agile Scrum methodologies, including the ability to write actionable and detailed user stories
• Passion for understanding user behavior and building great user experiences
• Ability to navigate difficult conversations and produce desired outcomes for participants
• Strong communication skills including the ability to articulate the value of prioritized features and how they fit into a larger overall strategy
• Talent for building advocacy and buy-in among colleagues
• Strong cross-functional organizational skills to manage dependencies and mitigate risks to keep projects on track.
• Resourcefulness in solving problems
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Background in insurance preferred
