The opportunity

This role will lead the planning, coordination, analytics, and execution of commercial activities required to strategically evaluate and inform decision-making related to innovative product opportunities.  This position will primarily support evaluations of Global Business Development opportunities for the Innovative Medicines business of Teva, as well as internal new product assessments.  This position will provide secondary data analysis and competitive intelligence to inform market opportunity assessments for in-licensing and merger & acquisitions, as well as tracking and searching for in-licensing assets.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Develop, evolve, and execute a comprehensive commercial evaluation process that outlines interactions between Business Development, Global and Regional Commercial Teams, Commercial Leadership, Finance, R&D, TGO, Legal, Regulatory, and other appropriate functions.
  • Develop a commercial evaluation approach, toolkit, and templates that provides structure and standards for external commercial evaluations
  • For each opportunity, provide market analysis, market research, competitive intelligence and forecast development, as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the right functions are engaged up front to enable the development of the commercial profile and value proposition; drive the efficient assessment of this profile with appropriate external customers and global markets
  • Develop a preferred list of external partners and resources to minimize the turnaround time of commercial evaluations without impacting the quality of the results
  • Leverage syndicated reports to understand market dynamics, treatment algorithms, and unmet needs to inform evaluation of BD opportunities.
  • Extract and analyze secondary data to understand market size, growth, treatment patterns, pricing, geographical opportunities, and competitive environment.  This is inclusive of prescription sales and Rx databases, patient claims data, pharmaceutical pricing, epidemiology, competitive sales force size & promotion, and patent information.
  • Analyze and compare investor analyst reports to inform BD evaluation.
  • Provide global market overviews of relevant disease areas and therapeutics for BD assessments.
  • Provide future competitive landscape and track asset development through the utilization of pipeline databases to inform in-licensing opportunity team.
  • Effectively integrate global information from multiple data sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations that are supported by customer insights

Your experience and qualifications

  • Required - Degree level: Bachelors in Business or Science OR a related field/equivalent education  
  • A minimum 8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Business Intelligence, secondary data analysis or related consultative role within healthcare, life sciences or pharmaceuticals
  • Strong knowledge of Global IQVIA data offerings and associated tools
  • Strong knowledge of various pharma secondary data resources, i.e. Clarivate, Informa, Evaluate Pharma, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and various analytical tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate at different levels within the organization and with external partners/suppliers
  • Extensive project management skills, including organizational and multi-tasking
