The Lead RN serves as a key liaison between the LPAC RN clinical team and department leadership. This individual plays an essential role in maintaining smooth daily operations, providing oversight on patient care, and supporting staff through education, scheduling, and coordination of assignments.
Qualifications:
Current Montana RN License required
BLS certification required
Prior experience in LPAC, PACU, Pre-Anesthesia, or procedural nursing settings strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of RN experience; leadership or charge nurse experience highly desirable

Experienced in procedural or pre-anesthesia care
You bring knowledge (or the ability to quickly learn) workflows related to pre-anesthesia, including documentation, patient readiness, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide onsite leadership for the LPAC RN team, serving as a key support and resource for both in-person and remote staff by coordinating daily operations, assignments, and clinical workflows.
Collaborate with the department manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with staffing and workflow needs.
Assign patient cases and clinical responsibilities based on acuity, staffing mix, and team availability.
Deliver direct patient care when needed, including clinical assessments, education, and pre-anesthesia coordination.
Support and guide staff on clinical inquiries, scheduling requests, and operational concerns.
Assist with staff scheduling, coverage planning, and the orientation of new employees.
Contribute to departmental quality initiatives, including chart audits, policy improvements, and process refinement.
Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment that aligns with departmental goals and promotes high standards of care.
