Overview
The Director of Supplier Diversity is a new position within OVG’s Corporate team charged with recruiting, managing, and supporting diverse suppliers, and driving member contract uptake. Growing our Supplier Diversity programs will significantly increase opportunities for diverse suppliers, employees, and community partners. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships in the business community and be both a strategist and implementer in connecting diverse suppliers to procurement opportunities across OVG. This role will pay a salary of $100,000 to $150,000.

Responsibilities
- In collaboration with VP of DE&I and VP of Procurement oversee the assessment, development, and implementation of formal Supplier Diversity Program at OVG.
- Manages supplier portal/database and conducts frequent audits to maintain data accuracy in reporting (e.g. of recognized categories of diverse suppliers).
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports diversity spend trends to senior leadership, monitoring compliance of metrics reported against Company supplier diversity goals.
- Develop an enterprise-wide supplier diversity policy to track and manage direct spend and indirect spend with diverse suppliers.
- Ensure new processes are developed and implemented to educate staff on supplier diversity issues.
- Strong regional engagement and supplier diversity program communication. Assists in developing and implementing strategies to increase supplier diversity performance for the organization through working directly with the various leaders (internal and external business units.)
- Create vendor by commodity listing from database & RFP tracking spreadsheets.
- Develop surveys for the Supplier Diversity program interacting with HR and various banking related groups.
- Assist with event planning and maintain vendor contact information from networking events.
- Follow up with Sourcing & Procurement managers and assist with finding suppliers to include in upcoming RFPs and track which vendors are included and which vendors are awarded business.
- Develop mentoring program, providing additional guidance to vendors to help them with the bidding process.
- Annually, create and submit supplier diversity plans, and summary reporting.
- Participates in outreach activities including tradeshows, matchmaking and other networking supplier diversity events to create awareness of OVG’s supplier diversity program and opportunities.
- Collaborates with sales, sourcing, marketing, and communications organizations to understand corporate commitments, customer needs, and requirements.
- Quarterly, analyze small business and MBE data to: (1) review trending to goals, (2) mitigate risk to achieving small business goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- Procurement knowledge highly preferred
- Minimum of more than 7-year supplier diversity experience, preferably for venue management industry
- Excellent oral, interpersonal and communication skills
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Superb problem solving and analytic skills
