The Role
As a people-focused company with quality relationships as a core value, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join us in our Lenexa, KS office. This individual will be responsible for various facets of Human Resources, functioning as a trusted resource and first contact for employees and managers seeking HR support. The HR Generalist will partner with HR Leadership and HR Business Partners to conduct full-cycle recruitment efforts, help facilitate employee onboarding and lifecycle programs, employee engagement and recognition initiatives, and respond to daily HR inquiries. The role also supports various HR-related administrative projects. This is a hybrid role with the reporting location at our Lenexa-based headquarters.
To be successful in this role, the Human Resources Generalist will have a strong focus on creating a positive candidate experience and employee engagement, while also leveraging a broad knowledge of Human Resources to be a trusted resource within the organization.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Build relationships with hiring managers to understand current business strategies, design appropriate sourcing plans, and identify and implement appropriate recruiting processes.
- Drive the lifecycle of the recruitment process to ensure the right talent is in the right role at the right time to deliver on expected business goals.
- Conduct initial HR screening interview and administer assessments as outlined in the Interview Committee Process steps.
- Regularly engage with HR Business Partners and hiring managers throughout the process to ensure alignment and respond with a sense of urgency to action process steps efficiently.
- Participate in the interview process and in partnership with HR Business Partners, make recommendations to hiring managers and senior leaders regarding selection.
- Coordinate offer approvals, offer process, manage negotiations, and ensure all parties receive appropriate communication and documentation.
- Facilitate a high-touch candidate experience, including communications, coordination, and scheduling of phone, video and on-site interviews.
- Coordinate and deliver new employee onboarding for all new hires within the US organization. Partner with key stakeholders to map out the first weeks of an employee’s onboarding schedule to ensure an impactful new-hire experience. Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture and HR Business Partners on offboarding activities for exiting employees.
- Assist HR Business Partners and managers in addressing employee issues
- Support employee engagement activities and champion initiatives and programs that support and build on our company culture and core values.
- Collaborate with HR Leadership and HR team to provide departmental administrative support.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources and recruiting experience, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field required. Equivalent work experience may be considered if candidate meets other qualifications.
- Customer service driven with professional presence and demeanor. Ability to interface effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strength in partnering with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting processes and best practices, with the ability to create a positive candidate experience in all interactions.
- High level of emotional intelligence and organizational awareness to allow for effective collaboration and leverage of expertise across the company.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S.Human Resources related regulations and their applications.
- PHR / SHRM-CP Certification preferred; other ongoing development to stay current with HR employment regulations and best practic
