We are looking for a Principal Specialist, Contracts who will be responsible for a full range of contract management/administration actions in support of the Electro Optics/Intelligence Radar Solutions (EO/IRS) product area within the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This position is tailored for a highly motivated, well-organized Contracts professional who embraces, thrives, and enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. 

 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Provide sound contract administration to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies. 
  • Draft Basis of Estimates (BOEs) aligned with contract scope and company policy. 
  • Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships. 
  • Partner with Key Program Functions in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts implementation, as well as general contract administration.
  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope. 
  • Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals, examine, and understand cost structure estimates of labor, material, engineering services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Ability to travel domestically to customer and Raytheon sites - 10%-15%.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience in contract administration or management of proposal cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules, terms and conditions, Other Transaction Agreements or similar 
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated business acumen with ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with geographically disperse internal and external partners and customers to foster trust and cultivate results
  • Strong professionalism complemented by outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and capable of multi-tasking while delivering timely, high-quality products
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment or within an IPT environment
  • Focuses on responsiveness with strong time management, organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe
  • Advanced Degrees such as MBA or Juris Doctor

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
