Position Overview  

Film/Video Production instructors will lead one or more sections of THEATRE 5321 Film/Video Production 1. This course explores basic video production through research and project assignments. Camera, sound, lighting and editing techniques are practiced in collaborative and individual settings. 

 

Semester-long courses meet in person for 80 minutes per day, two sessions per week; specific meeting times vary by assignment.  

 

Performance Objectives  

  • Communicate and collaborate with faculty supervisor(s) to carry out course activities and objectives as outlined in an approved syllabus. 
  • Lead all course meetings, communicate with enrolled students, grade assignments, and submit grades.  
  • Support students’ understanding of the video production process, including development, pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution. 

 

Education and Experience Requirements 

Required: MFA in film production or other comparable graduate degree. Knowledge of film/video production equipment and software. Experience teaching undergraduate students.
