Technical Project Manager, Data Center Infrastructure

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to facilitate the construction process for multiple data centers projects under both colocation providers control as well as projects that are under Oracle’s control. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are managed effectively to meet schedule, quality, and design requirements.

1. The primary function of this role is to understand, track, and facilitate the process for prompt decisions and actions across projects stakeholders both internally and externally to assure decisions are made for the projects to stay on track for execution.
2. Project Oversight in the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
4. Risk Evaluation: Independently analyze projects to evaluate risk profiles associated with timely delivery, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and inform the business of potential impacts.
5. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
6. Base Building and MEP Infrastructure: Focus for this role is heavily on the base building and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) infrastructure portions of the project. 
7. Tenant Fit-Out Integration: Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning to fully coordinate and integrate the separate scope of tenant fit-out projects with the DCIB teams leading these efforts.
8. Coordinate with the DCIB teams executing the tenant fit-out data hall white space projects separately but in conjunction with the base building infrastructure projects.
9. Design Coordination: Collaborate with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications.
10. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, facilitating clear and effective communication.
11. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
12. Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
13. Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing evaluation input for colocation providers to drive continuous improvement.
14. Regular Site Visits: Conduct regular project visits to ensure schedule adherence, coordination, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
