The JAX F135 Aftermarket Production Coordinator (APC) is a new, challenging and highly visible leadership position. It is an excellent opportunity to directly contribute to the operational successes of the NAS Jacksonville Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) Southeast F135 MRO&U and Global Depot and Warehousing satellite for CONUS and International depots by working with a broad range of Engineering, Operations, and Sustainment leaders.
What You Will Do:
- Define and implement plans to support business/partnering objectives, including production, planning, scheduling, allocating resources, and quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with FRCSE regarding shop floor maintenance activities related to meeting customer and business delivery requirements and schedules; develop, activate and execute contingency plans accordingly.
- Develop standards and best practices to strengthen the maintenance and material background knowledge of FRCSE artisans, evaluators, and Quality Assurance.
- Ensure compliance with all EH&S, ISO, Business Practices, ITAR, Import/Export and Company/government policies/procedures.
- Identify and resolve process improvement opportunities utilizing the CORE tools and principals to enhance quality, improve turnaround times and reduce operational cost.
- Meet all customer and business delivery requirements/schedules; plan and execute contingency plans accordingly.
- Work closely with P&W Logistics Program Management team, other P&W support groups or entities to include P&W Support Equipment Organization, and FRCSE personnel to deliver an MRO facility that meets stated customer objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- BA/BS degree with 5+ years of relevant engine maintenance experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of similar experience; or an AA/AS degree with 7+ years of relevant F135 engine maintenance experience. 9+ years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree will also be considered.
- Experience leading and participating in teams to achieve successful results.
- The ability to work in a start-up environment with flexible roles and responsibilities, limited formal training and firm deliverables.
- Demonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- F135 MRO experience preferred.
- Troubleshooting of assembly/disassembly challenges for individual builds, i.e. tooling, hardware, maintenance procedures experience on F135 engine preferred.
- Familiarity with real-time digital data applications such as Solumina and SAP.
- Prefer experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports specific to materials sourcing, inspections, and status generation.
- Operational management and leadership experience in MRO gated process and reporting.
- CORE associate level or able to achieve within 12 months of being in position.
- Highly skilled communicator with the ability to maintain partnering relationships in difficult situations to include escape management processes.
- Candidate must have excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
