Job Overview:

Are you curious, analytical, and driven to improve how work gets done? Join LPL Financial’s Business Strategy & Growth (S&G) team, where data and insights power decision-making at every level. As an Analyst, Data Analytics, you will play a key role in building and enhancing reporting, analytics, and tools that support business development and operational performance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems with data and simplifying complex processes. You’ll build core capabilities in data analysis, reporting, and visualization while developing the ability to communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders. You’ll also collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to process improvements, and help make data more accessible and actionable across a dynamic, evolving business environment.

Responsibilities:

Own and Enhance Reporting

  • Develop and maintain core reporting assets, including dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable reporting and insights

Deliver Data-Driven Insights

  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across business development activities

  • Present insights clearly to support decision-making at multiple levels of the organization

Manage and Optimize Data Sources

  • Extract and validate data from systems such as Salesforce and internal platforms

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate usage across use cases (e.g., campaigns, performance tracking)

Drive Process Improvement & Automation

  • Evaluate existing reporting and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency gains

  • Design and implement automated solutions to improve data collection, reporting, and scalability

Advance Analytical Capabilities

  • Apply analytical techniques to solve business problems

  • Contribute to the team’s evolving use of data, tools, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, supporting sales, finance, or operations

  • 2+ years of experience with Tableau (data visualization tool)

  • 2+ years of experience with Alteryx (data preparation tool)

  • 2+ years of experience in Excel / Microsoft 365 skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data validation, formatting; PowerPoint for presentations; Outlook for communication and coordination)

Core Competencies:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Effective communicator who can present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Naturally curious with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation

Preferences:

  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL, Snowflake) for data extraction and analysis is a plus

  • Experience building workflows, dashboards, and automation solutions, as well as driving process improvement initiatives, is preferred


 

Pay Range:

$35.85-$59.72/hour


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
