Avis Budget Group is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Development professional to lead and expand our dealer fleet purchase program. This role will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and managing dealer relationships across the United States, while collaborating closely with OEM partners and internal stakeholders to optimize vehicle acquisition strategies.
This individual will oversee a significant annual spend (~$350M) and play a critical role in driving fleet profitability through data-driven decision-making, market responsiveness, and cross-functional alignment. The role offers high visibility with senior leadership and strong opportunities for career growth within the organization.
What You’ll Do:
Dealer Network Development & Management
- Identify, engage, and onboard new dealer partners nationwide to support fleet acquisition needs
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with dealer partners
- Monitor dealer performance and ensure alignment with company objectives
Program Strategy & OEM Collaboration
- Partner with key internal stakeholders, and vendor partners, to expand and enhance the dealer purchase program
- Ensure alignment between OEM strategy and internal fleet acquisition goals
- Recommend improvements to scale the program and drive efficiency
Financial Oversight & Analysis
- Manage a vehicle acquisition spend category of approximately $350M annually
- Analyze and forecast vehicle residual values to support purchasing decisions
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize ROI and fleet composition
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the vehicle remarketing team to align acquisition with disposition strategy
- Help target the right vehicles to maximize return on invested capital (ROIC)
- Support data collection and analysis for direct OEM purchases
Process Improvement & Execution
- Evaluate current workflows and implement enhancements to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability
- Adapt quickly to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly
- Leverage data and technology to drive smarter decision-making

What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in business development, fleet, procurement, or related analytical roles
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting market dynamics
- Comfortable learning and adopting new systems and tools

The annual starting salary for this position is between $60,000 – $70,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.
