We are looking for a highly creative and technical Sr. UX Motion Designer to join our UX team and help create world-class experiences. You should be an industrious person who is highly organized and you love to marry interactive design with cutting-edge technology. The role is about creating and supporting 2D animation and interaction for the future of Auto HMI. The UX Motion Designer/Animation Prototyper will create and modify design assets for the UX team, in addition to supporting development and implementation in the product. The task split is 50/50 between technical and creative.

The Role:

• Create motion graphics assets, documents, and code samples for interactive concepts and production
• Demonstrate studies in-product, in-situ, or in mock-up to evaluate that proposed motion designs will successfully meet production requirements
• Develop processes for integration of new interactive animations and patterns into production builds
• Author, categorize, and document system-level motion patterns and framework
• Working with the UX team, conceptualize, visualize, and animate interactive concepts and vision animations
• You will partner with our world-class design team who specialize in product, research, and advanced concepts. You will help make their work come to life with awesome motion graphics
• Prototype support across fidelities, supporting reviews for stakeholders, user tests, and research documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Motion Graphics
• Expert level using After Effects or ACE certified
• ProtoPie/Figma or similar application experience
• Experience purpose-building and prepping assets for interactive implementation
• You will be a highly motivated individual with great communication skills

Preferred:

• Cinema 4D motion experience a plus (Position is not modeling or character animation focused)
• Rive, Lottie, or Unity/Unreal experience
• Expressions, javascript or python, or signal flow style coding experience
• Experience shipping Infotainment software in automotive or associated field

Eduation:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Art, Design, Computer Graphics, or Visualization

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.·       California (Bay Area) - $115,000-$165,000Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
