You will mine a variety of shopper, consumer, customer, and market insights as you develop customer and category strategies and initiatives. This work includes new product introductions, pricing analyses, seasonal reviews and programs, promotional planning, understanding the impact of assortment changes on category and brand growth.

 

Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

As the Senior Category Manager, you will deliver strategic insight in support of the Tropicana Brands sales team and our retail customers at Albertsons and other regional grocery accounts. Specifically, this role will work to identify market trends, competitive threats, brand strategies and customer strategies to increase sales and market share with our largest retail partners. Key responsibilities include:

  • Primary responsibility is to be a thought leader and "go-to" resource for all category and shopper insights and merchandising solutions.
  • Using a variety of syndicated and primary data sources, perform category analysis to develop actionable insights and recommendations for both portfolio and category growth.
  • Leverage shopper and consumer insights in the development of category strategies and retailer relevant sell stories. This analysis will also be used to drive the strategic planning process.
  • Integrate information from many sources and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Provide expert analysis and insight to customer team members so they can effectively make optimal decisions in the marketplace and share that learning across the broader organization.
  • Keep up with developments and best practices in category management. It is expected that you will pursue the knowledge needed to improve departmental capabilities and improve professional competence.
  • Act as a strong, clear, objective, and inspiring voice of enterprise customer team.

 

The Perfect Blend: Experience

  • 5+ years of Category Management / Insights / Analytics experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Experience supporting Walmart is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and thought leadership skills.
  • Strong PC skill set (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with standard data resources and solutions (Syndicated POS, Panel, etc).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interact confidently and effectively with management and the customer.
  • Collaboration is essential in this role as the person will work very closely with account sales leads, cross-functional teams as well as the retailers directly
  • Strong planning/organizing skills; the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

 

Foundational Ingredients: Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably required; MBA a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be located in [CITY,STATE] surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations

The salary range for this position is $109,000-$150,000 annually
