About the role

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Mgr, Program Manager, Global Corporate Procurement for the Controllership team of Global Corporate Procurement - focused on Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) compliance for contracts and purchase approvals, training, policy updates, PO exceptions, and expanded reporting. This role is a senior member of the Global Corporate Procurement leadership team whose key areas of responsibility include:
  • Working with business, finance, and procurement teams across Amazon to drive compliance and continuous improvement in S&TP transactions.
  • Owning the annual S&TP policy review and update process
  • Owning the PO Exception, Alternative, and threshold exemptions Policy
  • Conducting Suspected S&TP Violation reporting, coaching, and driving accountability
  • Owning the SOX 302 controls program associated with indirect P2P processes.
  • Driving controllership by managing quarterly control reviews, insisting on the highest standards, and driving efficiency by automating processes.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure contract and PO compliance
  • Partnering with Finance Automation to detect fraud, abuse, or waste
The ideal candidate may have experience in procure to pay processes and associated automation with a strong bias towards improving controllership, in addition to or in lieu of the Bachelor Degree requirement.



Basic Qualifications


  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 7+ years of team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
