Position Title: Human Resources Generalist - 2nd Shift

Reports To:     (Sr) Human Resources Manager

FLSA Status:   Exempt

Location:         Distribution Centers

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 4pm - 2:30am (During Peak Seaspm Sunday-Thursday 4pm-230am)

Your Role at Sephora...

The HR Generalist provides leadership and partnership to Sephora Distribution Center management and employees to deliver a spectrum of strategic and tactical HR support and programs which are aligned with the Supply Chain business initiatives.  In this role you will manage employee relations matters to ensure all employees are treated fairly, provided with competitive wages, benefits, and sound working conditions. The HR Business Partner is a constant champion for Sephora’s principles-based culture and core values and drives HR functional excellence and process improvement.

 

  • Plan & Align. Act as a resource for and ensure an open line of communication is maintained with business partners for fair and consistent interpretation and application of company policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment laws.
  • Engage & Retain.  Drive engagement efforts aimed at creating and maintaining a positive work environment. Assist in the performance evaluation program and provide feedback and recommendations to business partners. Partner with appropriate leadership team members to provide coaching and counseling to employees to resolve performance issues. Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Drives Results. Conduct investigations regarding discrimination, sexual harassment and employee disputes. Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

We would love to hear from you if have…

  • Three or more years of related human resources experience. HR certification strongly preferred
  • MS Office Suite with strong MS Excel skills, MS Access, and Visio.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to effectively give and receive feedback in a professional and respectful manner that sets an example to others
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
