JOB DESCIRTION SUMMARY:
The Permitting & Administrative Supervisor is responsible for permit processing and administrative operations. Deny or approve building permits and certificates of occupancy and communicate these results to affected parties. Determine fees for building, re-roofing or siding, mechanical, plumbing and electrical permits. Interpret and answer questions and provide information regarding permits, codes and regulations. Respond to building code questions from a variety of officials and the public. Ensures compliance with division policies and procedures and generally accepted business principles, fiscal regulations, county policies and procedures, and Human Resources & Payroll rules and policies including applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Works independently with limited direction within all functions of office management including analysis, training, troubleshooting, and communication with staff in other departments. Supervises permit technicians and administrative staff.
SCHEDULE:
This role is Hybrid, working 40 hours per week, Monday- Thursday. In-Office work is required at least two days a week.
COMPENSATION:
Hiring Range: $87,473.64-$90,227.05 USD Annually
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Establish goals and policies for and oversee the review and approval of permit applications and construction drawings for completeness, issuance and finalization of permits, and approval of permit renewals, extensions and refunds.
Performs or oversees a variety of high-level administrative duties. Research, compile, create, and maintain reports for the division. May work on special projects by performing research and assisting in the preparation of project implementation plans.
Preparation and analysis of draft program budget, cost allocation documentation, and monitoring of expenditures. Advises the leadership team on the budgetary and financial activities on an on-going basis providing detailed reports with statistical and quantifiable data.
Monitor and approve revenues and expenditures daily. Reviews all credit card transactions. Justifies funds requested and spent. Reviews purchase orders and invoices for compliance with accounting policies. Oversight of supply and book orders, staff registration for training and testing, and other office training and supply needs.
