job purpose: 

The Sr. Accounting Project Manager is a highly organized and strategic manager who will lead and support a variety of high-impact initiatives across the Finance & Accounting organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can seamlessly manage cross-functional projects, drive operational efficiency, and provide direct support to the leadership team. 

responsibilities:  

Project Support 

• Partner with teams across all accounting operations to drive alignment and execution 

• Lead special projects and ad hoc initiatives as assigned 

File Structure & Data Governance 

• Design and maintain a standardized file structure across all functional areas 

• Implement best practices for document management and version control 

Consultant Transition Management 

• Assess and support the coordination of hiring and onboarding internal and external resources as appropriate 

• Manage the exit process of consultants to ensure knowledge transfer, documentation, and continuity of operations 

Legal & Contractual Oversight 

• Review of legal contracts to identify adverse financial and operational implications 

• Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal and Procurement teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation 

Large capital projects 

• Support the preparation and development of project master budgets for large projects  

• Design and manage financial models to support the management of project spend and project status. Ensure data integrity of data being used in reports and ad hoc requests 

• Facilitates regular status meeting with essential parties to ensure transparency of project status and expectations 

• Manage insurance requirement and necessary paperwork (i.e., lien waivers) to mitigate risk on large capital projects 

• Develop and communicate standard operating procedures to ensure that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls 

Consolidation efforts with Coca-Cola North America Operating Unit 

• Accounting compliance research. Ensure compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other relevant financial reporting regulations
