Summary
As a Business Operations Consultant supporting APS's Non-Nuclear Generation operations, you'll play a critical role in managing the systems, reporting tools, and business processes that support our power generation and asset management activities across Arizona. This position focuses on ensuring the effective use and integration of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Supply Chain systems across the business unit. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert for system analytics, process improvement, and compliance, while helping to drive digital transformation through collaboration, innovation, and data-backed insights. With a strong understanding of generation operations and utility systems, you’ll lead cross-functional projects, guide technology implementations, and serve as a critical partner in driving measurable operational improvements across the asset lifecycle.
Key Skills & Tasks:
System & Reporting Oversight - Coordinate and maintain business unit systems to ensure operational effectiveness and alignment with power generation needs. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using standardized reporting protocols to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and consistency.
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) - Support and optimize Enterprise Asset Management systems, including asset lifecycle and work management processes that are core to generation reliability. Partner with Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless system integration and data flow between departments.
Data Analytics & Risk Awareness - Analyze operational and system data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement or risk mitigation. Support regulatory compliance by monitoring system usage and identifying potential security or data breach risks.
Process Improvement & Documentation - Formulate and document business processes, project scopes, and objectives through research, benchmarking, and direct collaboration with stakeholders. Develop tools and workflows that enhance organizational performance and ensure alignment with industry standards.
Cross-Functional Projects - Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives involving system upgrades, process enhancements, or technology implementations with moderate to complex scope. Track and measure outcomes to ensure desired results are achieved and sustained.
Technology Enablement & Implementation - Plan and support the rollout of new solutions, tools, and system enhancements to drive productivity, transparency, and effectiveness across the business unit. Maintain intranet content and technical documentation to ensure availability and accuracy of key resources.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a related area.
- In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of four (4) years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology or a related area.
