Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing overall HR support to the studio. This includes but is not limited to FMLA/LOA tracking, workers compensation, engagement support, HRIS maintenance and employee relations support.

• Support management and team members with employee relations issues, escalate more sensitive issues as needed
• Act as an advisor to management on HR policies, procedures, and legal updates
• Lead investigations in matters of alleged harassment and/or discrimination
• Provide counseling, review and approve corrective actions and terminations
• Manage employee leaves including: FMLA, LOA, and Military 
• Manage ADA process, including all requests, approvals/denials and recertifications
• Manage workers compensations claims and investigate preventative measures
• Provide support for employee benefit programs and enrollments
• Act as main point of contact for HR related situations and queries to sustain healthy employee relations;
• Provide training to operational supervisors, team leads and managers on an ongoing basis to ensure best possible leadership experience
• Assist in gathering data for weekly/monthly/annual KPIs;
• Upkeep of multiple HR data systems;
• Work alongside the HR Manager and HR Business Partner towards the general development and improvement of the employee experience and overall satisfaction;
• Create and develop meaningful relationships with all members of staff, acting as a communication portal and hub for information sharing.
• Participate in HR Department projects;
• Assist in development and implementation of HR initiatives and policies;
• Update internal procedures and function alongside the dynamic changes of the operations;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years of proven previous Human Resources experience in a related HR position or with an employee relations focus
• Execution of job duties requires excellent knowledge of English;
• A high level of competence in the Microsoft Suite;
• Experience in reporting and employment Legal knowledge in NJ employment law;
• Ability to prepare and organize the personnel record keeping documents in accordance with laws and regulation;
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask
• A calm and professional disposition with a high level of motivation and initiative;
• High sense of responsibility;
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit;
• Ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders
