<p>As <strong>Sr. Data Engineer I</strong>, you’ll support the Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) Digital Depot Support initiative by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and pipelines that enable advanced analytics, AI/ML modeling, and digital modernization of depot maintenance operations.&nbsp;This role supports predictive maintenance analytics, logistics and readiness data integration, enterprise data architecture modernization, and AI/ML model data preparation.</p> <p>We know that you can’t have great <a href="https://www.metrostar.com/">technology services</a> without amazing people. Value for our customers.</p> <p>If you think you can see yourself delivering our mission and pursuing our goals with us, then check out the job description below!</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with AI team members to operationalize data pipelines and ML tasks.</li> <li>Provide day-to-day support of deploying Python-native ML pipelines and perform data engineering tasks to enable AI/ML capabilities.</li> <li>Present results to a diverse audience in presentation or report form.</li> <li>Support architectural leadership, technical support, and advisement services to ensure identity management system technologies are integrated and meeting the appropriate security requirements.</li> <li>Support leadership who engage with senior level executives and provide subject matter expertise in security architecture and other key domain areas.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll need to succeed:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret Security Clearance.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable degree or experience</li> <li>5+ years of on-the-job experience in Data/ML engineering; Advanced degree may be considered for at most up to 2 years towards the years of experience requirement</li> <li>Experience with ETL, Data Labeling and Data Prep</li> <li>Experience with Azure Data Factory, AWS Data Services, DataBricks, Python, Apache Spark, and SQL</li> <li>Strong communication skills, ability to communicate technical concepts in both layman and technical terms to technical and non-technical stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to work independently/with minimal oversight</li> </ul> <p>SALARY RANGE: $110,000 – $138,000</
