Senior Manager Advance Networking

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, deploy and maintain Hotwire’s EGP, IGP, MPLS, IPv6, CGNAT, and PIM strategies
• Identify, research and close network vulnerabilities
• Provide strong technical leadership to senior engineers and technical resources from other departments
• Participate of the on-call rotation as the senior escalation resource from Engineering (backing up the primary on-call)
• Assess network risks and perform contingency planning

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• 3-5 years as Sr. Network Engineer in a service provider in a similar role
• 5-10 years of relevant IP networking experience working for service providers or Telecom vendor
• Excellent understanding of BGP and OSPF including daily operations of both protocols for large networks
• Strong understanding and practical experience with IP Multicast Networks
• Metro-ethernet services experience (L2 & L3 VPNs)
• Self-motivated and directed, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

• Understanding of IPTV, preferably Mediaroom or Android TV and video compression/distribution
