Job Description: 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Readily demonstrate enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, dependability, responsibility, respect for self and for others, leadership, and most importantly, pride for Baylor University.   
  • Serve as the dept. representative for Orientation with enthusiasm, professionalism, excellence, and respect for others. Daytime availability necessary.  
    •   Create, review, and deploy a message through appropriate channels in a timely and effective manner
    •   Review all marketing materials for accuracy and appropriateness 
    •   Participate, contribute and work cooperatively with key contributors to meet marketing needs
    •   Complete projects as provided by the associate director or graduate marketing manager
    •   Research best-practices and graphic designs standards among other institutions
    •   Attend all scheduled meetings
    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
    •   Familiar with communicating a message across various media platforms (social, print, and electronic), 
    •   Curating and posting to social media
    •   Staging, shooting, and editing Photography & Videography
    •   Working with Graphic design software (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
    •   Creating and giving presentations
    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
    •   Outgoing, charismatic individual who enjoys meeting and talking with prospective Bears
    •   Excellent communication and presentation skills
    •   Wellness-minded individual with a passion for health, fitness or recreational activities
    •   Creative problem-solver with a positive, “can-do” attitude
    •   Self-starter, who doesn’t mind working independently
    •   Adaptable learner with a desire to develop leadership skills
    •   Strong interest in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, and/or Creative Writing
