RCM Specialist Cash Posting

We are currently seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to maximize cash flow while maintaining and improving internal and external efficiencies and compliance. This position will report to the RCM Dental Supervisor.

 

This is a remote opportunity.

 

Pay range: $19.00-$22.00/hr

 

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for revenue cycle functions, related computer systems, and workflows  

• Maintain the integrity of the work through implementation of and compliance with all training, instructions, and directives provided   

• Post payments and adjudication information, both automated and manual  

• Transfer balances to patient, secondary payer, or routing for further review  

• Communicate with teammates, whether via email, messaging, ticket system, phone, in-person, through the EMR, or other method, in a professional and respectful manner  

• Identify trends and factors adversely affecting collections and communicate them to leadership  

• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children  

  

Job Qualifications  

• At least one year of experience with general office work  

• At least one year of revenue cycle experience  

• Experience with EMR/EHR  

• Experience with insurance companies a plus  

• Experience with CPTs, ICD-10, ASNI, Remark, and other billing and response codes  

• Demonstrated knowledge of claim flow through the posting process  

• Experience with Medicaid billing a plus  

• Experience with dental, vision, or orthodontic revenue cycle a plus  

• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and other billing codes
