About the role

Senior Aerospace Simulation Engineer Altamira Technologies is seeking a Senior Aerospace Simulation Engineer who possesses a mix of talent related to aerospace modeling and simulation, mission systems engineering, software development, and data science. The Senior Aerospace Simulation Engineer shall support the successful execution of aerospace-related programs and assist other programs as needed. Location: The position may be located in any of the following Altamira locations: McLean, VA; Denver, CO; State College, PA; Warrenton, VA; or Augusta, GA. This position is predominantly in-office with options for occasional remote/telework. Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead development and use of in-house modeling and simulation software in support of relevant ISR programs.
Act as an internal subject-matter expert for aerospace modeling and simulation development.
Support data science and mission systems engineering efforts outside of aerospace modeling as needed.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to customers in proposals, written reports, and oral presentations.
Hands-on and/or management experience with technical proposal development, BAA’s, and white papers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in science / technology / engineering / mathematics (STEM), or a related field AND 5+ years of relevant experience.
OR graduate-level degree in STEM or a related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience.
U.S. Citizenship
Active TS/SCI + CI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing and using physics-based simulators to meet program requirements (using either Python, Java, C++, Matlab, STK, etc.).
Experience with space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) modeling and simulation
Experience with space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems and/or software engineering
Experience with data science, machine learning / artificial intelligence, and algorithm development
