Examples of duties

  • Manages college programs with various post-secondary institutions. 
  • Encourages youth to explore education beyond high school and provides information and ongoing support as needed.
  • Develop partnerships with various agency partners, and other stakeholders, to provide individualizes supports services and initiatives.
  • Coordinates work programs administered by various Community Based Organizations and provides support in training, filling out applications, and obtaining relevant documentation.
  • Provides support for youth while identifying career paths that correlate with their interests through surveys and programs.
  • Develops various documents and reports that track program processes and results.
  • Coordinates voting registration initiatives by organizing informational sessions and registration drives to ensure compliance and awareness among eligible individuals.   
  • Assists in the implementation of evaluating program effectiveness, including post-secondary institutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications


REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY:
Two years of experience at the level of *Community Health Worker in a public or private community-based organization, public agency, hospital, public health organization or health system. 

LICENSE: 

A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out essential functions.


Physical Class 2 – Light: 

This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

Assists professional staff in providing direct health, mental health, or social services to clients and patients.
