The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-motivated software developer with C#, .NET, SQL, TFS, COBOL, and Visual studio knowledge, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the formulation and definition of system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains application programs.
- Contributes to the development of project plans and timelines.
- Provides estimates for planned work.
- Establish an open relationship with customers, teammates, and other members of the IT organization.
Expectations:
- Complete assigned tasks as directed in a timely manner using best practices and standards.
- Unit test code for proper functionality.
- Follow the established standards, patterns, and processes.
- Participate in scrum activities.
- Understanding of annuity concepts are a plus.
Key Technologies:
- Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Rally
- SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), T-SQL
- C#.Net, web services (REST/Soap)
- Cobol or willingness to learn
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years' experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform in a collaborative work environment with individuals from across the organization.
- Familiarity and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum is preferred.
- Ability to communicate, develop, and leverage relationships across the organization.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as with a team in a collaborative environment.
