Position Summary: The responsibility of the Warehouse Scale & Incoming Inspections Attendant is to perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Essential Job Duties:
- Dock receiving incoming materials.
- Attend scale, record transactions in the computer, and keep accurate and up-to-date retrieving of raw and in-process material moving in and out of the receiving dock.
- Prepare material for shipment to suppliers for outside processing.
- Receive material from suppliers after outside processing.
- Create job packets for rework items as necessary.
- Assist planners and supply management with inventory-related paperwork and transactions as needed.
- Support the payables process by coordinating packing lists and invoices as necessary. Support the traffic activities with Bill of Lading processing.
- Analyze inventory transactions to determine the root cause of inventory errors. Correct inventory errors as necessary.
- Organization and reliability are important traits. Records are an important part of the inventory system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be fork truck certified.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Must have knowledge of bills of lading, inventory management practices, and receiving.
- Must be knowledgeable in and practice all safety procedures.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and complete necessary production forms. Ability to speak effectively with fellow employees and/or customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several varia
